July 2026 Prayer Targets

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how we ought to pray, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans too deep for words. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
Romans 8:25-26

For the World, we pray:

  • For the Nigerian Christians suffering violence, we pray courage, strength, and peace amidst suffering; to remember his presence with them and feel his comfort in their grieving. May the Lord restrain evil, bring justice to those who shed innocent blood, and turn the hearts of the persecutors to Him. www.acrossnigeria.org/pray

  • For Venezuelans, we pray God's presence to comfort the grieving, strength to the weary, and compassionate wisdom for all assisting in rescue and recovery. Pray for resources to reach those in need, for restraint on looters and exploiters. Pray for the soon reopening of the Caracas airport. May hearts be transformed through Gospel witness of those giving aid.

For our nation, as we gather to celebrate our nation's 250th year, we pray:

  • That all would acknowledge God's gracious, providential hand that established this nation, and humbly repent of our rebellion and pride, that we may be that blessed nation whose God is the Lord. Psalm 33 biblehub.com/bsb/psalms/33

  • We pray for supernatural protection and the thwarting of opportunistic evil of all the large gatherings.

For the Church, we pray:

  • healing of our divisions by submitting to the Lordship of Christ, walking in the humility of the Spirit to choose love over doctrinal and cultural preferences.

  • May we be compelled by Christ's love to work together to make disciples, loving our neighbors, serving the poor, and proclaiming the gospel.

  • In this spirit of love and unity, we pray God's favor and goodness for these community events to bring a rich harvest for the kingdom:

  • Serve INC Day of Service, July 11, 2026. To volunteer, fill out a form here: serveincwillamette.org

  • Please pray for the Celebrate Jesus Festival happening July 25 and 26 in Sweet Home. Ask God to use the music, activities, messages, and fellowship to welcome families, open hearts, and help people find hope in Jesus. Please also pray for the multi-church Community Worship Service at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 26, at Husky Field. Pray for unity among the churches and for everyone who is serving and leading. www.celebratejesusfestival.org

For our Communities, we pray:

  • Pray God's blessing on our local Christian radio stations, Hope 107.9 FM and KWIL 790 AM, which are locally owned, non-profit stations that broadcast music and Bible teaching 24/7 throughout the Willamette Valley. We ask God's blessing and encouragement upon their staff and for the station's financial support to abound during the lean summer months. www.friendsofhope.net

  • Pray for youth shelters and correctional facilities in your community. We pray God's patience and wisdom for the staff, for spirit-filled mentors, and for winsome believers to minister hope, healing, and stability through God's word,

  • For children at home who lack supervision or caring adults, we pray for watchful, loving neighbors, for protection from predators online and in the community. Pray for strength and wisdom for weary caregivers.

Community Ministry Highlight:
Willamette Valley First Responder Chaplains, led by Chaplain Dean Aithwaite. Pray for their strength and refreshment as they provide compassionate care to members of the public in times of crisis and tragedy. They also serve First Responders and their families with supportive care and counseling.  May God clothe them with compassion, wisdom, and courage, and may their presence carry Christ’s peace, their words offer hope, and their service reflect the heart of God to all they encounter. www.wvfrc.org

Mid-Valley Women of Christ

Join us in thanking our gracious God for giving us the opportunity to bring excellent teaching and meaningful connection to women of the valley through our upcoming event, the Priscilla Shirer Going Beyond Virtual Event on August 22!  Pray for our preparation, for our host church, Lebanon First Assembly, for Priscilla and her worship team. May God's favor be upon all women attending and the friends and neighbors they invite! www.midvalleywomenofchrist.org/gb-virtual-event
