May 2021 Prayer Targets

The Spirit gives life; the flesh profits nothing.

The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.

John 6:63

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is,

there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory

of the Lord, are being transformed into His image with intensifying glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.  2 Cor. 3:16-18

Pray for The Church, The Body of Christ

  • Praising God for His life-giving Spirit, may we walk faithfully surrendered in His transforming power, overflowing with more of Him and less of ourselves.

National Day of Prayer, Thursday, May 6, 2021

  • Believers of every flavor, in every sector, would gather in prayer to unify around God’s heart for this broken nation, to stand in the gap for all who need His Salvation, Hope, Healing, and Purpose.

  • An awakening of God’s people to hunger for His Presence in where two or more are gathered in Christ’s name, believing that the prayers of righteous people will prevail!

  • A culture of prayer to be taught and modeled in our families.

Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11, 2021

  • Giving thanks to God for the gift of motherhood, pray that we would honor this high calling, encourage, and celebrate those around us, and pray for healing for those hurting in this season.

Our Nation

  • A Spiritual Awakening to grip the hearts of many with the fear of the Lord, turn from sin to Salvation in Christ, and return to biblical values.

Human Crisis at Southern Border

  • Communities being impacted, needing housing, health care and The Gospel;

  • Laws to be upheld by all within our borders; for support and safety for law enforcement

  • Evil intentions of drug cartels and human traffickers to be thwarted and/or dealt with justly.

COVID to be eradicated

  • God’s healing power to touch those who are ill, and wisdom in caring for our immune systems through healthy diet, exercise, sleep and stress relief.

Our Communities

  • School Board Elections May 18th, God-honoring candidates who will bring biblical worldview.

  • Planning for Christian camps’ summer programs, Church VBS, recruiting volunteers, lifting of covid restrictions.

  • Safety and honor of our city and county police, firefighters and first responders as they serve in increasingly hostile climate.

Mid-Valley Women of Christ

  • For growth in faith and love for who God as women complete the Loved By God study; for an outpouring of generosity to bless CASA, our community giving project, for these gifts to be received as from The Lord, for His glory.
