May 2026 Prayer Targets

May you enter God’s presence with boldness and confidence...praying...to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp (the fullness of) the love of Christ, and to know (experience) this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:12-19

 

For the Church, the Body of Christ, we pray: To repent of what distracts us from abiding in Christ or diminishes our faith; may our faith be strengthened as we draw life from His love and power, that the world will know us by our love as we accomplish His kingdom purposes.

 
For the Persecuted Church of Yemen: we praise God for those who have been rescued from the darkness of Islam and courageously serve Christ in a country where believers must practice their faith in secrecy. The cost is high as they face harassment, loss of relationships and jobs, and even death.
Pray for effective gospel outreach through Christian media; for protection against discouragement and harm; and for the leaders waging war to be uprooted and replaced with just and peaceful leadership www.opendoors.org/en-US/persecution/countries/yemen/ and www.persecution.com/globalprayerguide/yemen/

 

For our nation and communities:
* National Day of Prayer, May 7, 2026. Pray God's blessing on Community breakfasts in Albany at Eastside and Corvallis at Suburban Church.

For our national leadership, in light of the recent failed attack, we pray God's continued protective hand for thwarting plans of evil; as a result, may many hearts consider anew the state of their relationship with God and turn to the open arms of Jesus. We pray readiness and wisdom for the Secret Service and the first responders who serve to protect them.

For Oregon Primary elections, ballots must be delivered or postmarked by 8pm May 19. For help in clarifying which candidates support life as God's gift, go here. https://oregon.lifevote.net/


We pray voters, candidates, and election officials to engage with integrity and wisdom, that God may grant our state a new heart that aligns with His values.

 

For Mid-Valley Fellowship, a ministry that promotes healing for sexual and relational brokenness, we pray God's blessing on their event that welcomes potential donors to be given a "tour" of how they minister through trained lay counseling, Biblical instruction and accountability groups.  To learn more or RSVP to attend the May 8th event: www.midvalleyfellowship.org/expmvf.html

For University graduates, we pray they joyfully surrender to God's plans for using their hard-earned degrees and skills. We pray blessed time with family and friends, as well as restraint and safety in their celebrations. 


For High School Seniors to direct their energy, stay focused, and find encouragement to finish well;  and for all to find employment or be a blessing in volunteer positions. 

For prodigals who have wandered from the Shepherd of their souls, we pray release from enemy lies, that they will heed His voice of Truth and experience a welcomed return.

For Road Crews who spend long hours working heavy equipment or directing traffic, we pray for their safety, for drivers to be alert, patient, and obedient to flaggers. May this season be miraculously free of deaths or injuries.

​

Mid-Valley Women of Christ:
For our board members to be blessed as they serve in many capacities as well as seeking God's direction for future ministry;


For God's enabling and leading of our Bible Study selection committee in choosing our Fall Bible Study;
