...connecting women to reflect God's love

Until further notice, the Community Prayer Gatherings will not meet at the various locations due to the recent local, state and federal guidance.
On Monday, April 6th we will hold our first FaceBook LIVE prayer time at 7:00pm. Please join us as we lift our prayer targets to the throne of the King of Kings!

April 2020 MVWC Prayer Targets

“Look, an hour is coming and has already come when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and you will leave Me all alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.  I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!”

                                                                                                                          John 16:32-33

The Body of Christ:

  • To proclaim and live the Word of God; confident that He is with us.

  • Having His peace in the storm, may we courageously move forward to make the most of every opportunity, whether in suffering or health, remaining steadfast in faith and love to the saving of many lives.

  • Missionaries, local and foreign:

    • to see increased fruitfulness and openness to the Gospel

    • to see God's provision and protection for health and finances.

  • Churches transitioning to online gatherings to remain cohesive and caring, creatively cultivating relationships in this season of change.

  • Churches in leadership changes and challenges to humbly seek God, to be unified in their mission to love.

  • Christian families to grow in seeking God together, improving relationships, making disciples of their children and others, loving their neighbors; serving their community.

Covid-19 Pandemic:

  • The virus to be contained and eradicated; for the sick to be healed; for the grieving to be comforted, the weary strengthened.

  • For those who are on the front lines: medical staff, first responders, dispatchers, care and service providers to endure, to be strengthened and protected from disease and depression; for their supplies and equipment to be restocked; for adequate rest; that they would rely on healthful ways to relieve stress.

  • For this pandemic extremity to be a vehicle for the Gospel to open blind eyes to the disease of sin, that many would repent and turn to Jesus, the one and only Savior and cure.

Government officials:

  • To seek God for His wisdom in making many difficult decisions regarding public health weighed against economic hardship;

  • The duty of municipal authorities to honor the trust of the citizenry, giving grace and mercy where appropriate, not lording it over the people. for citizens to comply peacefully during this time of restricted freedom to gather, being considerate of others.

Our Local Communities

  • Financial Provision for many furloughed employees and local small businesses.

  • Non-profits and community resource centers to be blessed with generosity of Christians, that volunteers would offer to help; and directors would find creative ways to minister and provide for those in need despite the limitations of this difficult season.

  • Foster Care system to receive an increase of Christian families called to serve the burgeoning need.

Ministry Highlight: Willamette Valley First Responder Chaplains

  • To bless the First Responders by building relationships while on and off duty, serving their families in order to lessen stress through friendship and helping with practical needs. Through these relationships, be able to connect those in need with professional therapists.

  • To serve families in times of crisis and provide ongoing compassionate care as needed.

Mid Valley Women of Christ

  • Every Child Donations: Wisdom for the distribution of the many gifts from our Bible Studies; that these gifts would meet tangible needs of teens and families, and be received in the spirit of love and care from the Lord.

  • Wisdom for the Fall Bible study selection committee to discern what will be the best study for September.

  • God's timing and details to gel for the delayed Praise Gathering

Remember to join praying Oregonians in prayer and fasting for our nation the second Tuesday of every month through the January 20th inauguration. See website of Pray Oregon for each month’s prayer points.  Make plans to join the National Day of Prayer, May 7th.
