September 2020 MVWC Prayer Targets

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commands. And His commandments are not burdensome, because everyone born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.                                                                                1 John 5:1-4

Prayer Events:

Pray Oregon 2nd Tuesday fasting and prayer

Please Pray:

The Body of Christ:

  • that as believers we would deny ourselves and take up our cross to follow Jesus, being filled with The Spirit so that our loving obedience would draw many to Jesus, as they see our trust in our victorious Savior.

  • for pastors and ministry leaders to be encouraged as they shepherd the flock in humility and integrity, teaching and preaching the Word in all diligence.

For our communities:

  • Marriages would be rescued, communication strengthened, covenants honored.

  • Parents and guardians to find creative ways to help students thrive despite fluid school schedules, and seek God’s enabling in for their children’s spiritual formation.

  • Kids and teens who are vulnerable to being lured away while at home extra hours with less supervision to be protected

  • Students lacking sports and extra-curricular activities would be provided with godly mentors and activities, and have opportunities to put their energy in to learning new skills.

  • Teachers to be supported to find innovative ways to connect with students during the difficulties of distance learning.

  • Government officials to lead with God’s wisdom for a safe, peaceable and prosperous society

  • Economic recovery for companies, business owners; ability to provide increased employment.

  • Eradication of Covid19, persistence of citizens to practice habits and lifestyles that promote health.

  • Oregon and California wild fires to be extinguished.  Pray for local firefighters sent to work on the complex of fires in Northern California. Pray for their endurance as they work long hours, and for their safe return home.
