February 2026 Prayer Targets
“Teacher, which commandment is the greatest in the Law?” Jesus declared, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22:36-39
For the Church, the Body of Christ, we pray:
-
That we would recognize and repent of what we let distract us from loving God with all that we are.
-
The renewal of the joy of our salvation would overflow into genuine love for our neighbors, seeing them through His eyes of compassion and mercy.
-
That we cultivate unity in laying down our comfort and convenience to serve across denominational lines, preferring one another's needs above our own, Romans 12:10
For the persecuted Church in North Korea:
-
Pray God's peace and powerful presence for the 30,000 Christians who are detained in prisons and harsh labor camps.
-
Pray for God's enabling of shrewd means of getting the Scriptures passed along through shortwave radio broadcasts and Bible passages creatively distributed to every person in North Korea, and help for those who've escaped but are assisting in the effort.
For our Nation and communities, we pray:
Provision for recovery from the winter storms that have damaged so much of the eastern half of the US, with more on the way at the time of this writing. May God sustain all who are working hard to restore power and remove debris. May God's people bring hope and help to all who are struggling to stay warm.
Pray for God’s presence to bring peace, clarity, and order in places of tension and chaos. Lift up those serving in law enforcement, that they would be guided by wisdom, discernment, and integrity as they carry out their responsibilities, even in challenging moments.

For our young adults, getting drawn into deceptive and destructive ideologies to encounter God's redeeming love. For those seeking meaning and purpose, may they surrender their energy, intelligence, and passion to the One who will lead them into all truth, living a life of glorifying God and blessing their communities.

Pray for the rescue of teens caught in exploitative relationships that so often lead to suicide. Pray for protection from Satan's lies and for God's wisdom and discernment, so that families and friends can reach them with love and truth. For struggling marriages, we pray that hearts would be softened, that couples would seek help and godly counsel, and that each spouse would humbly surrender selfish ways so they can grow together in Christ and become living examples of His love and faithfulness.

Seeing the proliferation of marijuana stores, pray that the Lord would strengthen families and communities to promote what is life-giving, wise, and healthy; to call out the destructive nature of relying on substances for escape or recreation.

Mid-Valley Women of Christ
We praise God for the 24 classes participating in our community-wide Bible study, "Heaven: When Faith Becomes Sight", by Jennifer Rothschild.
We give thanks for the 19 churches that are opening their doors, and for the leaders and facilitators who are working hard to provide a warm, welcoming space for women to grow together in God's word and to unify in His love. We pray for good health, good weather, and teachable hearts to be vessels of His grace and goodness to our communities, for His glory!
Pray for the MVWC board and for details to come together as we plan for our spring praise gathering.

*Date is changed due to the annual COV prayer summit.
