November 2019 MVWC Prayer Targets 

…asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have full endurance and patience…Colossians 1:10-11

1. The Body of Christ, The Church

  • to esteem and prioritize God's Word over the voices of the culture, media, etc,

  • love for God to increase and overflow into all relationships, inside and outside the Church 

  • leadership development: cross-generational mentoring/discipleship with openness to new methods to reach the next generation; allow new leaders the freedom to learn by doing.

  • release from shackles of vices (addictions to porn, medications, alcohol, food, social media, etc.) that keep people trapped in shame, hindering their freedom to grow into godly leaders.

  • churches in transition, needing new pastors, as well as grace and provision for leaders leaving

  • wisdom for effective gospel outreach during the holiday season, while guarding against the tyranny of overcommitment.


2. Mid Valley Women of Christ

Discerning the Voice of God Bible studies

  • diligence in continuing to study the Word

  • application of what's been learned, supported by loving accountability and prayer for one another

  • generous giving towards the Wounded Women project and fruitful connections made in the delivering process


 Praise Gathering – (November 14th) Holy Spirit provision for:

  • the speaker, Stephanie Fast, and her husband, traveling from Portland

  • anointed worship 

  • attendees' (mostly women & the men who volunteer) come with hearts prepared to respond to the message God has for each

  • love and joy displayed through all volunteers: greeters, ushers, prayer encouragers, security, tech and sound, set-up and clean-up

  • protection for women as they travel to the event

  • blessing and protection for Life Community Church


3. Community Outreaches and The Homeless 

  • compassionate and effective communication of the gospel

  • funding and volunteers for warming shelters

  • more rooms available for residential centers

  • protection and provision for those with children

  • Godly counseling available for healing of addictions and entrapments to unhealthy lifestyle


4. Help for our neighbors in California

  • churches would be open to house the displaced

  • the members of Christ's body to offer true comfort and peace for the afflicted

  • hearts would turn to God and new life in Christ received as God uses this horrible situation for good

  • winds fanning the flames to die down

  • safety for firefighters and first responders
