Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit.  1Thess 5:16-19

As the world acknowledges the power of gratitude in a generally secular way, we, God’s people, humbly yet boldly proclaim our intimate acquaintance with the One who is the giver of all good things, and who has power to turn the difficulties for good.  With thanksgiving for His sovereignty, care and faithfulness, we pray for these needs:

The Church:

  • That our joy and gratitude to God is proclaimed and lived out in midst of challenges, disappointments, heartaches, as well as victories and blessings.

  • To be known for our hospitality and generosity to the lonely and forgotten;

  • Our holiday gatherings exude the peace of Christ and enrich and intentionally edify our relationships.

Our Nation:

  • Holy Spirit awakening minds and hearts to discover or return to reading the Bible, ultimately finding God true to His Word and surrendering to Jesus.

  • Government officials: honesty, integrity & accountability for restored trust in the public they serve, not exploiting their offices for selfish gain.

  • To repent of being a destination state for abortion and euthanasia, if not through change of Oregon laws, then through lack of customers and providers; that our state becomes a sanctuary for life, providing excellent support and care for such needs.

  • Our governor Kate Brown, in particular for God’s wisdom and will to prevail through her appointment of two Oregon Supreme Court Justices before year’s end. Go here for their names

  • Our justice system, overseen by the Oregon Supreme Court Chief Justice, is experiencing severe upheaval in its Public Defense System. Oregon is short on providing hundreds of public defenders.  Pray God’s hand to stave off criminal activity.

  • Our city, county and state police, blessings on their families, protection and discernment for daily challenges.

  • Our Veterans, honor and blessing for their sacrificial service, provision for their needs, healing of spiritual, emotional, and physical wounds.

  • School-aged children and teens:  supernatural protection and deliverance from lies creating gender identity confusion. Pray for parents, youth groups, and school officials to promote truth, bring light that dispels darkness and break deception of social media strongholds.

Elections, November 8

  • Last minute petitions, prayers and fasting to our Redeemer King to bring in good, godly candidates, for protection of their spiritual and family lives.

  • Pray for honest and accurate ballot counting in your county since the state now waits 7 days post-election to finalize results.

Mid Valley Women of Christ

  • Mid Valley Women of Christ Night of Praise and Worship Friday Nov.18, 2022 at Willamette Community Church., Albany, OR. Doors open at 6, worship at 7. Pray God’s protection and preparation for all attending; for our speaker, Natalie Eberth, the Willamette Community Church worship team, and the many volunteers making this event possible!

  • Pray a generous outpouring to bless Adult and Teen Challenge, pray wisdom and transformation through their ministry.

Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. Heb 13:15
